Mandatory Fee Arbitration

Fee Arbitration Client Workshop

The Santa Clara County Bar Association’s Committee on Mandatory Fee Arbitration is pleased to make available to the public the 2015 Fee Arbitration Client Workshop Video.

This wonderful new resource is designed to educate members of the public about the SCCBA’s Mandatory Fee Arbitration Program, which helps attorneys and clients resolve their grievances over fees and costs in a confidential setting that is less costly and formal than the court system.  The video describes the fee arbitration process in detail and gives tips and insights from a panel of highly knowledgeable and experienced voluntary fee arbitrators on how to prepare for your fee arbitration.

Panelists Sharon Hightower, Clark Stone, Timothy D. Widman, and Greg Carpenter, will discuss the procedural rules applicable to fee arbitrations and explain what to expect before, during and after the hearing.

Founded in 1917, the Santa Clara County Bar Association is a non‐profit, non‐regulatory professional organization working to provide training and support to member attorneys, improve and streamline local administration of justice, and serve the public by fostering improved public understanding of and access to the legal system.
