SCCBA CEO/General Counsel

Sherry has a career spanning more than 35 years in the nonprofit sector including roles as CEO/Executive Director since 2003. She ultimately pursued her JD (rather than a PhD) in order to become a stronger advocate. She graduated with distinction in 2007 from Pacific Coast University School of Law in Long Beach, California where she eventually became Dean of Academic Standards. She relocated to San Jose in August 2019 to join SCCBA as CEO & General Counsel. Sherry practices nonprofit law, and has served on several international, national and local Boards of Directors including the Long Beach Bar Association Board of Governors.  She is a theatre artist, a writer, a lover of cooking and wine, and a fearless traveler.
