FMLA. CFRA. PDLA. ADA. FEHA. PPLA. HFHWP. WC. Employee leave laws are more than just alphabet soup. Navigating employee leave laws can be difficult and confusing. Small errors can have drastic consequences for employees and employers. In this 2-hour seminar experienced employment attorneys from both sides of the aisle will delve into which leave laws apply. Attendees will learn best practices for responding to and requesting time off.

We will answer questions such as: What information can an employer request when an employee asks for time off? How much time off is “too much” time? What accommodations are “reasonable” and which create an undue burden? Which laws require employers to return an employee to the employee’s exact position? What happens when there is a change in circumstances after the leave begins?

Join us as we navigate the sometimes confusing and contradictory leave of absence laws in California.
