Connecting firms looking for talent and attorneys looking for employment opportunities throughout the Bay Area and California.

Pro Bono Opportunities
One of the SCCBA's ongoing priorities - Helping Lawyers Help Others - is encouraging attorneys to give more pro bono hours to assist the indigent residents of Santa Clara County. The SCCBA is taking a number of steps to make this easier for SCCBA members. Look for opportunities coming soon.

Code of Professionalism
The SCCBA reputation for its Professionalism initiatives over the years, particularly its Code of Professionalism published in 1992, are recognized on both a state and national level. Becoming involved in maintaining and encouraging professionalism within the local legal community enhances your reputation with local practitioners and the bench and provides expanded practice and networking opportunities. You can show your involvement in this initiative by pledging to abide by the Code, which will show on your Membership eDirectory listing and in the Public Directory of Attorneys.

Diversity
The SCCBA has long been a leader in advancing diversity in the legal profession, not only because it is the right thing to do, but also because it makes good business sense for our members. Having diverse attorneys within your practice enables you to better represent different ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, and the disabled who make up our diverse local community. Advancing the appointment of diverse candidates to the local Bench strengthens the public's perception of the justice system and provides needed perspective to judging in our county. The SCCBA Diversity Initiative offers a variety of opportunities to become involved.

Lawyer Referral Service
Increase your visibility and client base through the SCCBA Lawyer Referral Service (LRS). To be part of the LRS, you must meet certain minimum qualifications and carry a minimum level of malpractice insurance. Potential clients are screened through trained SCCBA specialists before the referral is sent to your office. Find out more about the LRS and make it part of your practice toolkit.
