The Santa Clara County Bar Association Professionalism Committee actively reviews and comments, when appropriate, on proposed State Bar ethics opinions promulgated by the State Bar Committee on Profession Rules & Conduct (COPRAC).
COPRAC relies on the SCCBA comments and has often revised proposed ethics opinions based on those comments. This is a critical function for our local legal community and is a significant benefit to local practitioners to have a voice in the substance of the State Bar ethics opinions. This participation is made possible through member dues.
