Introducing Part 2 of the Civil Practice Committee's annual update from the Santa Clara County Superior Court case managers.

In our first annual Part 2, you'll hear from the judges handling other departments in the Downtown Courthouse:  Complex Case Managers (Judges Walsh and Kuhnle); Civil Harassment (Judge Overton) and Probate (Judge Pichon). The judges will explain how they run their dockets and what they like to see in briefs and documents. How do the complex judges handle their calendars still holding civil trials?  How do they feel about discovery disputes in complex cases?  What does Judge Overton want to see in a Civil Harassment application?  How does Judge Pichon feel about discovery disputes in probate cases? What does she want to see happen before the dispute comes to her?  Is e-filing working out for the probate department?  When does a long cause probate trial get sent to civil?

This will be their first presentation in these roles so bring your questions and listen closely.  They will provide a lot of guidance in what they want to see and what they don’t want to see in their courtrooms.
