The SCCBA Women Lawyers' Section cordially Invites you to the Annual Reception Honoring Santa Clara County Women Judges.

The section is proud to recognize The Honorable Julia Alloggiamento as its 2016 special honoree at this year's reception. 



Judge Julia Alloggiamento

Santa Clara County Superior Court


Julia Alloggiamento was born and raised in San Jose, California. She graduated cum laude from UCLA and then attended UC Hastings College of Law where she graduated magna cum laude. After law school, she clerked for the Federal District Court in Los Angeles and then worked at Morrison & Foerster as a litigation associate. She served as a Deputy District Attorney in Santa Clara County from 1998 through 2010, where she prosecuted a variety of crimes. For several years, she acted as the “Community Prosecutor” where she focused on crime prevention and intervention. She was sworn in as a Superior Court judge in January 2011. Judge Alloggiamento previously presided over misdemeanors and drug court and currently presides over Felony Criminal trials, including homicide, gangs and sexual assaults. Judge Alloggiamento is Chair of the Court Community Outreach Committee which provides outreach and education regarding a variety of issues related to the justice system. She also serves as a Board Member for the St. Thomas Moore Society and as a representative on the Court Strategic Planning Committee, Court Legislative Liaison Committee, and New Judicial Officer Bridging Committee. She lives with her husband and two teenage children and enjoys spending quality time with them, participating as a Board member for her neighborhood association, assisting with soccer, and performing community service with her daughter in the National Charity League.
